Hichem Elloumi is the President of CEED Tunisia since December 2017. He holds engineering degrees from the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique de Paris and Ecole Supérieure de l’Electricité (SUPELEC France).
He started his career in 1977 by occupying high-ranked positions in the Elloumi Group – first international industrial group in Tunisia. Since its creation in 1992, he is the Chairman and CEO of Coficab – a best-in-class world leader in the manufacturing and sales of automotive electrical cables and wires, present in several countries.
From November 2006 to 2013, he held the position of President of the National Federation of Electricity and Electronics, before becoming Vice President of UTICA (Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts) since 2013. He has been awarded the Tunisian Order of the Republic. In 2015, he was decorated Grand Officer of the Order of Industrial Merit by the President of Portugal.
Hichem Elloumi was also a distinguished member of the Tunisian Quartet that won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2015. In addition, he currently occupies the position of President of the Tunisian-Moroccan and the Tunisian-Portuguese Business Councils.
